Talk Budget is a financial assistant designed to help you automate your budget by extracting transaction data from your emails and syncing it to your personal spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel, or Notion).

2. Data We Collect

Talk Budget only collects the minimum amount of data necessary to provide its services:

• Financial Metadata: From your emails, we scan for transaction dates, merchants, and amounts.
• Email Content: We temporarily process the body of receipt or invoice emails to extract transaction details using AI.
• Google Account Info: Your email address and basic profile information to facilitate the connection to Gmail and Google Sheets.

3. Use and Sharing of Google User Data

Talk Budget's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Gmail API Access

We request read-only access to your Gmail. This access is exclusively used to identify financial transactions (receipts, invoices, bank notices). We do not read personal messages that are not related to financial transactions.

Google Drive and Sheets API Access

We request access to your Google Drive (via the non-sensitive drive.file scope) to create and sync financial templates. This scope only allows us to access files that you create with Talk Budget or specifically open with our application. We only interact with the specific spreadsheets you designate for Talk Budget.

How We Share Your Data

We do not share, sell, or disclose your Google user data to third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: We may share transaction data with AI processing providers (such as Google Gemini) to extract financial details. This data is handled securely and is never used to train their AI models.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.
• Business Transfers: As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality agreements.

Limited Use Disclosure

Our app strictly complies with the Google "Limited Use" policy:

• We only use data to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the user interface.
• We do not transfer the data to third parties except as necessary to provide our services, for legal purposes, or as part of a merger/acquisition.
• We do not use or transfer the data for serving advertisements.
• We do not allow humans to read the data, except when we have your affirmative agreement for specific messages, or as necessary for security purposes.

4. Data Processing and AI

To categorize and extract data accurately, Talk Budget uses advanced AI models (such as Google Gemini). Your financial email content is securely sent to these models for processing. This data is never used to train the AI models and is processed under strict confidentiality agreements.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We store your extracted transaction data and any Google user data only as long as necessary to provide our services. You have full control over your data:

• Retention: Extracted data is stored while your account is active. We periodically purge temporary processing data.
• Self-Service Deletion: You can disconnect your Google account or delete all app data from within the app settings at any time.
• Account Deletion: Upon your request, we will delete all your personal data, including all information retrieved from Google APIs, from our servers within 30 days.
